headstart nutritional therapy

About Me

I originally trained as a Chartered Physiotherapist working in many areas including neurological rehabilitation, mental health and the elderly. I took a career break when I had my two children and it was during this time that I gained an interest in how our health is affected by what we eat.

There were also several close members of my family whose symptoms were addressed by changes they made to their diet.

Initially I trained, with Nutrivital Health, as an Asyra Therapist specialising in food intolerances and nutritional deficiencies. I found that the majority of my clients wanted specific nutritional advice so I then spent two years training as a Nutritional Therapist with Premier International,  qualifying with a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy.

I hold a regular clinic at Neal's Yard in Bath on Wednesday mornings.

As a busy wife and mother I know the challenges of trying to produce healthy meals for the whole family within a budget. I like to think that I can offer simple realistic but effective advice to fit in with your lifestyle, family and budget.

As a physiotherapist I am a great believer in how lifestyles can also affect health and try to combine realistic lifestyle changes, if required, with the dietary advice.
